Job summary

Hospice of Marion County, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring CNA to work at our Hospice House in Ocala and Summerfield, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care on 12-hour night shifts.

You will assist with personal hygiene, feeding, bathing, and activities of daily living, maintain a safe environment, support families, and participate in housekeeping tasks as needed. Eligible candidates will have CNA certification and Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• One to three years of training and/or experience required.
• One year of experience in a long-term care facility strongly preferred.
• Florida Board of Nursing CNA certification is required.
• Florida State Driver’s License required if driving between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in maintenance of good personal hygiene and promote a healthful, clean and safe environment.
• Assist with feeding and meal preparation as directed.
• Provide baths, oral hygiene, and hair care per plan of care.
• Perform housekeeping, laundry, and other duties as needed.

Regardless of the mode chosen, both are at the colleague’s own expense, with the exception of mileage reimbursement eligibility when traveling between facilities while on company time.Must be able to remain flexible and work at alternate facility where there is a business need for reassignment for one or more shifts at an alternative facility. When this occurs, the colleague is responsible for their own transportation to the alternate facility and at their expense.
