Job summary

Avamere is recruiting a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for The Pearl at Kruse Way in Lake Oswego, OR. This full-time, evening shift role provides routine daily nursing care in accordance with each resident’s care plan and assessment.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, updating plans, and maintaining a calm, safe environment for residents. The position requires a valid CNA license in Oregon, active CPR/BLS, and a passion for caregiving.

Qualifications

• 10th grade education or above
• Be a licensed certified nursing assistant in this state
• Must maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment
• Have a passion for caregiving and enhancing the quality of life for our residents

Responsibilities

• Check each resident to ensure personal care needs are met according to wishes
• Review resident care plans daily for changes in routine
• Inform nurse supervisor of changes so information is updated in the care plan
• Assist residents with daily needs and prepare for activities
• Transport residents to/from appointments
• Foster warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm, cheerful environment
• Ensure residents’ rooms are ready and residents feel comfortable
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies
• Communicate necessary information to charge nurses, DON, and/or administrator
