Job summary

Vintage Wellness & Rehabilitation in Denton, TX seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, hygiene, and daily activities, while ensuring resident comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program; Name must appear on State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing.
• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff; Must have the ability to read and write.
• Prior experience as Nurse Aide preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty.
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment
• Explains procedures to residents before administering
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled)
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied)
