Job summary

Forest-Park-Nursing- in Dallas, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our caring team. You will perform resident rounds, assist with daily living activities, and ensure safety and comfort during shifts (2pm-10pm or 10pm-6am) on a full-time schedule with weekend rotation.

Qualifications: enrollment in a CNA program or a current CNA license. You will work in a supportive, respectful environment and communicate clearly with residents, families and staff.

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform rounds and administer nursing care according to facility policies and safety rules.
• Verify the identification of a resident before administering care or meals to ensure correct resident care.
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled with fresh drinking water, and within resident reach.
• Follow directions from the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: GENERAL

• Perform all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility’s established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures and safety rules and regulations.
• Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to administer quality nursing care.
• Verify the identification of a resident before administering nursing care or serving food, to assure that appropriate care is being provided to the correct resident.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Assure that water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water and within the resident’s reach.
• Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.
