West Chicago Living and Rehab Center LLC in Wheaton, IL is seeking a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate patient care and assist residents with daily activities in a full-time evening/overnight schedule. The role requires an Illinois CNA license, CPR certification, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced care environment.

Qualifications

Must be an Illinois-certified CNA in accordance with state laws.
Minimum 8th grade education.
Current CPR (American Heart Association).
Nursing degree from an approved CNA program.
Ability to think and work independently and communicate in a fast-paced environment.
Current CNA certification.

Responsibilities

Providing great patient care.
Answering patient calls and determining how best to help them.
Providing physical support for daily activities and personal hygiene.
Turning and repositioning bedridden patients.
Reviewing dietary restrictions and allergies to ensure appropriate meals.
Obtaining information from physicians, caregivers and nurses about patient condition and plans.
Measuring and recording food and liquid intake and outputs.
Recording vital signs as requested.
Examining patients for issues needing medical care.
Reminding patients to take medications and supplements.
Noting observations to nurses.
Staying up to date on CNA training and facility policy.
