Job summary

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports the plan of care as delegated by staff nurse within scope of skills verification.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
• Provides care based on patient needs, appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Communicates patient care needs with patients, families, and staff.
• Completes documentation of patient related tasks.
• Adapts communication style to patient population and obtains permissions as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
