Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist with assessments, monitoring, and daily activities while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include documenting care, communicating with families and the care team, and adapting approaches to diverse patient needs. CNAs must obtain BLS and CPI certifications within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must hold current CNA certification.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days from hire.
• CPI certification required or must be obtained within 30 days from hire.

Responsabilités

• Supports the plan of care as delegated by staff nurse within scope of skills verification.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
• Provides patient care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Communicates patient care needs effectively with patients, families, and other staff members, including multi-disciplinary teams.
• Completes documentation of patient related tasks.
• Adapts behavior to the patient population and respects privacy and communication preferences.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
