Job summary

Midland Care Connection is seeking a Community Aide (CNA) to provide essential, hands-on care in clients' homes in Topeka, KS and surrounding areas. Companionship, ADL assistance, mobility support, meal prep, and medication reminders are among the duties.

The role includes documenting changes to nursing staff and following care plans under supervision. We offer competitive hourly rates ($18.15+ for CNAs, $20.50+ for HHAs), paid training for license advancement, shift differentials, and benefits

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Basic knowledge of infection control, safety practices, and patient rights
• Ability to observe, document, and report changes in a clients condition to nursing staff or supervisors
• Compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered approach to care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in clients homes while following care plans
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to clients homes
• Ability to pass background checks, health screenings, and required trainings

Responsibilities

• Provide essential, hands-on care to clients in their homes, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility)
• Monitor and report changes in a clients condition to nurses or supervisors
• Support comfort and safety and offer companionship
• Follow care plans and document observations accurately
• Travel to client homes and maintain professional, courteous interactions
