Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. You will monitor patients, ensure safety, and assist with basic nursing tasks in a collaborative team environment.

Requires a Louisiana CNA certification and BLS within 60 days of hire, with strong computer, communication, and organizational skills to document care and support multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Must have computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management.

Responsabilités

• Assists with plan of care as delegated by staff nurse within scope of practice.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
• Provides care based on patient needs across physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria for the ages served.
• Communicates patient care needs effectively with patients, families, and staff, including multi-disciplinary teams.
• Completes documentation of patient-related tasks.
• Maintains professional certifications and technical knowledge.
• Adapts communication and care to patient population and privacy requirements.
• Other related duties as required.
