Job summary

WesleyLife is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on direct resident care, daily living activities, and providing emotional support to residents and families.

You will work with the healthcare team to ensure safety and quality of care, following infection control protocols while supporting recreational activities and resident engagement.

Qualifications

• State of Iowa active CNA License.
• 1 year experience in LTC or RCF preferred but not required.
• One year of experience working as a CNA.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and passing medications.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Facilitate resident participation in recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
• Day Shift: FT (6am-2:30 pm) and every other weekend.
