Job summary

ALIYA of Evanston is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident care and support with daily living activities, health monitoring, and safety. The role requires state CNA certification, CPR, and English proficiency; prior long-term care experience is preferred. You will work under supervision to maintain comfort, privacy, and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding; provide fresh water and nourishment between meals.
Assist with personal hygiene including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves; assist with bathroom trips; help with showers and baths.
Assist with ambulating, turning, and repositioning residents.
Monitor vital signs and weight; record intake and output.
Ensure resident comfort by using available resources; answer call lights and requests; report observations to nursing supervisor.
Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA and related laws.
Adhere to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and all applicable laws (e.g., JCAHO).
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read professional materials; maintain licensure.
Performs other duties as assigned.
