Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Florida.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Previous medical transport or patient transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to appointments, hospitals, and other approved destinations.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles, including wheelchair and stretcher transport when required.
• Secure residents and mobility equipment in transport vehicles according to safety protocols.
• Monitor residents during transport and report any changes in condition to nursing staff immediately.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform basic inspections, and report maintenance issues.
• Complete transportation logs and documentation accurately.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Support mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment.
• Answer call lights and respond promptly to resident needs.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies at all times.
