Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in delivering patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will accurately take vital signs, document in the EMR, and follow department policies to ensure safety and quality care.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and a BLS CPR certification. PCT experience is preferred, with CNA/CPCT/A or EMT certifications viewed as assets.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (required).
• 1+ PCT experience (preferred).
• BLS CPR certification required.
• CNA/CPCT/A EMT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record.
• Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy.
• Performs duties and patient care according to policy and procedure.
• Follows safety regulations and participates in performance improvement initiatives.
