Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking Certified Nurse Assistant, Nurse Assistant, or Nurse Assistant Trainees for the Medical ICU South in Springfield, MO. Provide basic patient care under nursing supervision, take vitals, assist with daily activities, and communicate changes in patient condition.

Preference given to candidates with Missouri CNA license or completion of a recognized CNA program; 3 months inpatient/long-term care experience or completed Unlicensed Assistive Personnel training; BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting.
• Completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program within the past 3 years.
• Completion of the fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens and other duties as assigned.
• Obtain information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff and report changes
