Signature HealthCARE of Norfolk is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential ADL support and compassionate care in a busy nursing facility. You will work on the 3pm–11pm shift, ensuring residents receive timely assistance, grooming, and comfort.

Qualifications

• Must have current, active CNA certification from the state of operation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team.
• Customer service oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Able to adapt to change and be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident room.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other information.
• Routinely turn and position residents as needed.
• Support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
• Respond promptly to call lights and assist residents.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
• Handle other duties and projects as assigned.
