Job summary

The Homestead of Denison 1 is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our care team. You will provide ADL assistance, monitor residents, document changes, and support exams under the direction of licensed staff.

Maintain safety and dignity while delivering person-centered care. Requirements include a current Texas CNA license in good standing, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1+ year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and follow standards of practice.
• Comfort working with challenging behaviors.
• Patience, tact and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADL assistance per care plan (from minimal assist to total care).
• Take and document vital signs, weights, intake/output and meal consumption.
• Report changes in resident condition to the Charge Nurse/Nurse Supervisor immediately.
• Maintain resident comfort and safety, ensuring call light is within reach.
• Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges; greet and orient new residents.
• Follow infection prevention, PPE and safety procedures; keep equipment clean.
