Job summary

SEARHC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care in the Nursing Department for non-acute and acutely ill patients in Sitka, Alaska. The role requires lifting patients, responding to call lights, and maintaining a safe, clean environment under the supervision of RNs.

A fast-paced setting with critical patient care responsibilities is described. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification, and Alaska CNA license, plus BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certificate from an accredited program.
• Current Alaska CNA license in good standing.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients under RN supervision.
• Monitor and document vital signs and intake/output.
• Assist in pre/post-operative care and patient mobility.
• Transport patients and assist with meals and personal needs.
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and respond to call lights.
