Job summary

SEARHC in Southeast Alaska is seeking a CNA to provide basic nursing care in Acute Care/Long Term Care to non-acute and/or acutely ill patients/residents. This role is 20 hours per week with benefits and requires lifting and assisting with patient care.

A compassionate, calm demeanor is essential, with adherence to safety and infection control standards. The position supports the SEARHC Seven Standards of Excellence and requires Alaska CNA licensure, BLS within 3 months of hire, and prior CNA

Qualifications

• CNA certification from an accredited program.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care for adults and geriatric patients.
• Monitor and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, and vitals.
• Assist with meals, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Report changes to the licensed nurse and document observations.
• Prepare patients for transfers or medivac as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment with infection control measures.
