Job summary

Somerset Court at University Place is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct care to residents, assist with ADLs, and support the nursing team in maintaining health and well-being.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for caregiving with opportunities for ongoing professional development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, senior living, or long-term care setting preferred.
• Active CNA certification in good standing with the state.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs; observe changes and report to nursing staff.
• Assist with medication reminders and basic healthcare tasks under supervision.
• Foster meaningful relationships and encourage participation in activities for social and mental well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols.
