Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan’s Miller Prairie Center provides resident-centered care under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support mobility and hygiene.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with basic health care needs including daily living activities and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, mobility exercises, and range of motion.
• Support meals, hydration, and nutrition needs for residents.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
