Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant for full-time day shifts at Miller Prairie Center. The NA provides resident-centered care and daily living assistance under RN supervision, following care plans and infection control policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, taking vital signs, documenting care, supporting meals, and communicating resident condition changes to the charge nurse. CNA certification is required and training is provided by the facility.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing required or in process of obtaining.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• 12 hours of continuing education required annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting and feeding as needed.
• Record vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Assist with meals and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes.
