Job summary

MUSC Health in Orangeburg, SC is seeking a CNA to provide essential patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. You will support basic hygiene, vital signs collection and daily care while maintaining confidentiality and safety across shifts.

The role requires a SC CNA credential or patient care technician certification and current BLS. This is an hourly, regular employee position with standard hospital expectations and protective equipment protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• SC CNA certification or Patient Care Technician certificate.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care and hygiene under licensed nurse supervision.
• Assists with bathing, feeding and obtaining vital signs as needed.
• Documents findings and information accurately for the medical team.
• Communicates pertinent information to staff to ensure patient safety.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Manages routine supply handling and supports unit operations.
• Adheres to MUSC Standards of Behaviors and hospital policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
