Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role includes clerical duties to support department operations and collaboration with the patient care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of VA required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• For CNAs at Snowden Fredericksburg: CPI within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Record health data, vital signs, I&O, and communicate changes to the care team.
• Prepare patient rooms, supplies, and assist with diagnostic tests and transport.
• Perform routine hygiene, feeding assistance, and post-mortem care as needed.
• Assist with documentation, clerical duties, and equipment maintenance.

Education
