Qualifications

• Must be certified as CNA or Home Health Care Aide per state licensure
• Completion of a recognized home care aide training program or 6 months of recent experience as an aide
• Minimum age 18 years
• Valid driver''s license with satisfactory driving record
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform job duties requiring standing, bending and movement

Responsibilities

• Assists nurses by performing basic care activities for personal needs and comfort
• Dresses, grooms, bathes, feeds, and records vital signs
• Attends to call lights, toileting, oral care, nail care, catheter care, mobilizes patients and transports as needed
• Reports changes in patient condition and maintains cleanliness and safety
• Administers medications as directed by physician or nurse and notes timing and dosage
• Performs other duties as assigned
