Job summary

Visiting Angels Abilene is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA to support seniors in the Abilene Big Country region, including Albany and surrounding towns. This role focuses on compassionate in-home care, mobility assistance, and daily living support.

You will participate in light housekeeping, meal preparation with client input, and companionship. Training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care is available, with flexible shift options and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Passion to serve others and provide compassionate care.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good time management and ability to multitask in home-care settings.
• Respectful and ethical patient care.
• Physical endurance for caregiving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
