Job summary

Visiting Angels Albuquerque is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support seniors in the Albuquerque area, including Cedar Crest and surrounding communities. You’ll provide compassionate care, help with daily living tasks, mobility, meals, and transportation as needed.

The role offers opportunities for advancement through training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care, along with a supportive team, flexible shift options, and a culture of community service.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
