Job summary

Arbor Acres in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a dedicated CNA to assist residents with daily living activities and support nursing staff. You will perform vital sign checks, assist with grooming and mobility, and respond promptly to call bells, under the supervision of the Nursing Manager.

Qualifications

• Certified as a Nurse Aide I (CNA I) and registered with the North Carolina Department of Facility Services Nurse Aide Registry.
• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred 6 months CNA experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the nursing staff in providing care to geriatric patients.
• Assists residents with personal grooming and dressing.
• Assists residents with use of toilet and/or bedpan.
• Transports residents to and from meals, activities and other areas as needed.
• Responds promptly to resident call bells or requests and emergencies within one minute.
• Provides non-skilled treatments such as measurement of vital signs, turning and positioning, transfers, recording of bowel and bladder function, and other routine tasks.
• Assists residents with the dining experience.
• Communicates reports of residents’ conditions to the Nursing Manager.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
