Job summary

Ochsner Clinic Foundation seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under licensed nurse supervision in a dynamic hospital setting. You will assist with the plan of care, maintain safety, document tasks, and communicate effectively with patients and the care team.

Preferred candidates have hospital telemetry experience, a CNA certificate, BLS and CPI training within 30 days of hire. Flexibility for a 24/7 schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification required.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 30 days from hire.
• CPI training to be obtained within 30 days from hire.
• Experience in hospital telemetry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the plan of care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
• Provide basic patient care based on patient age and needs.
• Communicate care needs effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Complete documentation of patient-related tasks.
• Adapt communication to patient populations and privacy requirements.
