Job summary

Majestic Care Lafayette is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and deliver direct hands-on nursing care to residents on a daily basis. The CNA helps residents achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible.

Qualifications

• Must be certified and state tested as a CNA with active, valid license.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and daily care.
• Respond to residents' call lights to ensure comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or wheelchair within the community.
• Report significant findings to the nurse promptly.
• Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge for smooth transitions.
• Maintain safekeeping of residents' personal possessions and keep rooms neat.
• Follow proper infection control techniques and respect residents' privacy.
• Support adequate hydration and nutrition; monitor intake and weights as directed.
• Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and related measurements accurately.
