Job summary

Sovah Health Danville, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in Danville, VA. This full-time, in-person role supports RNs by providing basic patient care, recording vitals, and assisting with daily living activities to ensure safe and compassionate care.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, CPR/BLS, Virginia Certified Nursing Assistant registration, and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including vital signs.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, ambulation).
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Assists patients with ambulation and transfers using walkers or wheelchairs.
• Assists with feeding and monitors fluid intake/outtake.
• Repositions patients and ensures patient cleanliness and dignity.
