Application Requirements

Thank you for your interest in the state-certified nurse aide training program at The Meadows. To be considered for the class, please bring the following items to your interview:

• Completed Application
• Valid Photo Identification
• Social Security Card

Course Expectations

No absences or tardiness are permitted. You must maintain a grade average of 85 or higher to continue in the course.

Books and supplies ($40) will be required as a deposit on the first day of class and will be refunded upon graduation. You will also need to purchase one set of scrubs to wear daily during class and clinicals.

Background Checks

We will conduct a criminal background check and consult the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults. Individuals with a felony conviction, certain misdemeanor charges, or found on the abuse registry are ineligible for the program.

Selection Criteria

Students are selected based on facility need, shift availability, flexibility, previous work history, and attitude. The most qualified candidates will be chosen.
