Application Requirements

To be considered for the state certified nurse aide training program at The Meadows, please bring the following items to your interview:

• Completed Application
• Valid Photo Identification
• Social Security Card

Course Expectations

No absences or tardiness are permitted. Students must maintain a grade average of 85 or higher to continue in the course.

Books and supplies costing $40 will be required as a deposit on the first day of class and will be refunded upon graduation. Students are also required to purchase one set of scrubs for daily wear during class and clinicals.

Background Checks

A criminal background check will be conducted, along with a review of the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults. Candidates with felony convictions, certain misdemeanors, or listings on the abuse registry are ineligible for admission.

Selection Criteria

Applicants are selected based on facility need, shift availability, flexibility, previous work history, and attitude. The most qualified candidates will be chosen.
