Qualifications

• Must be a currently certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with an active license.
• Demonstrates compassion, patience and strong communication with residents.
• Able to follow care plans and maintain nursing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents to support physical, mental and emotional well-being.
• Assist with activities of daily living per care plans.
• Complete documentation of resident care and nursing notes according to policy.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines at all times.
• Report changes in resident condition promptly to supervising staff.
• Uphold residents’ rights, privacy and dignity in all interactions.
• Participate in meetings and in-service trainings as assigned.
• Promote positive relations with residents, families and guests.

Role

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team! The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible to provide direct, hands‑on care to residents in a nursing home environment to ensure residents attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental and emotional well‑being possible.

Responsibilities

• Follows and upholds The Community’s philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident’s quality of care and quality of life.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living as outlined in care plan.
• Completes documentation of resident care as assigned.
• Follows safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety.
• Follows and upholds policies and procedures of The Community.
• Follows rules outlined in the Community’s employee handbook.
• Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
• Follows infection control guidelines.
• Reports changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse
• Observes residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
