Job summary

Adoration Health, a BrightSpring Health Services affiliate, seeks a compassionate CNA to join our hospice team in Nags Head, NC. You will provide dignity, comfort, and support to patients at a critical time in their lives in a home-based setting.

The role requires six months of personal care experience, CNA training, and CPR certification where required. You will work Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with team collaboration and opportunities for growth within a supportive organization.

Qualifications

• Must have training in state practices for CNA roles.
• Minimum six months of experience providing personal care.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, 16 of the 75 hours before mandatory 16 hours of practical training.
• Possess and maintain CPR certification where required.
• Able to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Understands hospice philosophy and is comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Ability to handle death/dying.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises and safe equipment use.
• Medication assistance: help with self-administered medications per state regulations.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
• Light housekeeping: change linens, assist with meals, maintain a clean space.
• Documentation: maintain accurate and timely records.
• Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.
