Job summary

Apple Rehab Gardner Heights in Shelton, CT is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide compassionate daily resident care in a warm, family-oriented community. Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, dressing, walking, and assisting with daily living while documenting care per policy.

Starting pay is $20 per hour, with shift differentials and opportunities for additional shifts. Per diem and full-time schedules available, with comprehensive benefits and a supportive team committed to quality care.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
• C.N.A. Certified Nurse's Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies.
• Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration.
• Observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents' condition, including any skin breakdowns.
• Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries.
• Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Job Opportunity:

CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

Starting Pay:

Competitive rates starting at $20 per hour, based on experience

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available Shifts:

• Full-Time 7-3
• Part-Time 3-11
• Full-Time 11-7
• Per Diem
