Job summary

Orchard Grove, operated by Apple Rehab, is a 130-bed facility in a tranquil Connecticut countryside community offering STR, long-term care, and a secured memory unit. The CNA role supports residents with daily living activities and documentation, within a family-oriented environment.

We seek a CNA in good standing, with strong reading/writing ability and teamwork, who shows patience and empathy in daily interactions with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
• Documents personal care given according to facility policies.
• Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration.
• Observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns.
• Reports immediately all accidents or injuries.
• Records all necessary charting entries.
• Answers all call lights regardless of assignment.
• Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Job Opportunity: CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

Available Shifts:

• Full-Time or Part-Time 7-3
• Full-Time or Part-Time 3-11
• Part-Time 11-7
• Per Diem

Additional Expectations: Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.

Incentives!

• Pickups outside of your normal scheduled hours will receive $5.00 extra an hour.
• All staff MUST be in good standing for 90 days in order to qualify for either incentive
• This is for full time and part time positions only.
