Job summary

Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes is seeking a compassionate CNA to assist residents with daily living activities, grooming, bathing, and mobility in a warm, family-oriented setting. Per diem staff must cover two weekend shifts monthly.

This 106-bed facility in Shelton, CT offers competitive starting pay at $20/hour, shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, PTO, holidays, retirement plan, and more.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
• Documents personal care given according to facility policies and provides nursing functions as directed.
• Observes and reports changes in residents’ condition, including skin breakdowns.
• Reports immediately all accidents or injuries and records all necessary charting entries.
• Answers all call lights and responds to emergencies calmly and efficiently.

Job Opportunity:

CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

Starting Pay:

Competitive rates starting at $20, based on experience.

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available Shifts:

7-3 Full-time 32 hours

3-11 Part-time 8 hours/week Every Other Weekend

Responsibilities:

Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
