Job summary

Apple Rehab Wolcott Hall in Torrington, CT is seeking a CNA to provide compassionate daily resident care in our warm, family-oriented 57-bed setting. You will assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, and daily routines while documenting care and reporting changes to the team.

We offer Fulltime and Part-time shifts (3-11pm) with competitive rates based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
• Documents personal care given according to facility policies; observes changes and reports to supervisor.
• Performs nursing tasks as directed including perineal care, bed making, turning residents, and measurements.
• Notifies supervisor of skin breakdowns and any accidents or injuries; records entries accurately.
• Responds to call lights promptly and handles emergency situations calmly.
• Maintains professional conduct and supports a positive resident experience.

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside 24 hours scheduled

Available Shifts:

• Fulltime and Part-time shifts available 3-11pm

Responsibilities:

Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
