Job summary

Apple Rehab Guilford, a 86-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center along the East River waterfront, is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide personal care and support to residents in a warm, family-oriented environment.

Starting pay is competitive at $20 per hour, based on experience, with shift differentials for 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends. Various shifts including per diem are available, and a comprehensive benefits package supports staff growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use.
• C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies.
• Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration.
• C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns.
• Reports immediately all accidents or injuries.
• Records all necessary charting entries.
• Answers all call lights regardless of assignment.
• Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Job Opportunity:

Starting Pay:

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available Shifts:

• Part-Time 7a-3p
• Full-Time/Part-Time 3p-11
• Part-Time 11p-7a
• Per Diem

Additional Expectations:

Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
