Job summary

Apple Rehab Guilford is seeking a caring CNA to join our 86-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center along the East River waterfront. This role supports daily resident care with dignity, comfort, and safety in a family-oriented setting.

Starting pay is $20 per hour based on experience, with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends, plus extra $5/hour for shifts outside scheduled hours. Multiple shifts are available including part-time, full-time, and per diem.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bladder/bowel functions, dressing, walking, wheelchair use, and positioning.
• Documents personal care given according to facility policies; performs nursing functions as directed.
• Observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including skin breakdowns.
• Records all necessary charting entries and responds to emergencies calmly and efficiently.
• Answers all call lights promptly regardless of assignment and participates in safety procedures.

Starting Pay:

Competitive rates starting at $20 per hour, based on experience

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours

Available Shifts:

• Part-Time 7a-3p
• Full-Time/Part-Time 3p-11
• Part-Time 11p-7a
• Per Diem

Responsibilities:

Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
