Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients by attending to basic needs such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Use a Hoyer lift for transfers
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents or changes in the client’s health status
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities essential for daily living by assisting with meals, including serving and related tasks

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and be eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with the physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Must be proficient in use of a Hoyer lift to make transfers
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Prior experience in healthcare, in-home care environment, or caregiving
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA, or completion of a CNA program
• Take pride in providing high-quality care
• Reliable, punctual, dependable
