Job summary

Aging in Place is seeking a caring and devoted caregiver to support elderly clients in their homes in Excelsior Springs, MO. The role emphasizes compassionate, one-on-one care and improving quality of life for veterans and their families.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or in-home care preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with physical capability.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation daily.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• Supportive and compassionate attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation.
• Help with mobility around the house.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises as needed.
• Complete client's shopping.
• Perform cognition exercises with clients.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living and with others tasks as needed.
