Job summary

Visiting Angels of Olathe, KS is hiring Personal Caregivers to serve seniors in Olathe and surrounding communities with one-on-one home care. Caregivers provide non-medical support, companionship, and assist with daily activities in clients' homes.

We require reliability, 18+ years, and prefer 1 year of caregiving experience or CNA certification. Training is provided online; successful candidates pass background checks and DMV screening.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years to apply.
• Reliability a must!
• 1 year of professional caregiving experience preferred
• CNA license a plus
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus
• Active phone where you can be reached, for scheduling purposes
• Must pass criminal background and DMV check as well as drug screening
• Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance and reliable vehicle are required
• Positive, caring and open to learning on a continuous basis, attitude and proven track record of dependability and trust
• Communicate effectively at all times with peers and supervisors
• Self-directed/motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must comply with all company policies

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical support and companionship to senior clients
• Perform personal care duties; such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Issue medication reminders and maintain medication schedule
• Conduct grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping duties
• Support the client's mobility needs by assisting with walking and transfers and other physical activities
• Complete household errands and provide the client with transportation to and from appointments. (Not required from all caregivers)
