Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the patient care team with direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, and to handle clerical and coordination duties to keep department services efficient.

Requirements include a VA CNA license, High School diploma or GED, and BLS CPR. At least one year of acute care experience is preferred, with flexibility for shift work and teamwork in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of VA required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• At least one year of acute care experience required; or six months in a full-time RN program with one clinical semester.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and routine care.
• Prepare for diagnostic tests and discharge; assist nurse as needed.
• Document patient care and coordinate equipment and supplies.
