Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support the patient care team in providing direct care under RN supervision. The role includes basic clerical duties to help the department run smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of VA required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• At least one year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic care.
• Record vitals, collect specimens, and communicate changes to nurses.
• Perform designated clinical duties (e.g., spirometry, oxygen set up, EKGs).
• Support patient registration and data entry tasks as needed.
• Coordinate equipment and supply needs and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
• Assist in emergency situations and provide post-visit care.
