Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to support the bedside RN and charge nurse by facilitating a safe, secure environment and delivering delegated duties for the shift. You will help coordinate care through clear communication among patients, families, and the care team.

Under direct supervision, you will maintain a clean, hazard-free setting that enables patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Must have completed CNA training program or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and experience.
• Completion of a Medical Terminology course or successful completion of hospital terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification license upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a safe and secure environment for patient, family and providers under direct supervision of the bedside RN and charge nurse.
• Maintain clear communication between patient needs and the RN/Charge Nurse.
• Assist in completing duties delegated for the shift and support patient-focused care.
• Keep the environment clean and hazard-free to enable safe patient care.
