Job summary

Focused Post Acute Care Partners in Texas is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to support residents with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have current Nurse Aide certification in Texas.
• High school diploma or GED.
• English language proficiency and clear communication with residents.
• Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry and Misconduct Registry in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident safety at all times.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living per schedule.
• Bathe, dress, groom and provide personal care for residents.
• Lift, move and transfer residents as required.
• Respond to call lights promptly and assist with feeding.
• Maintain resident cleanliness and comfort; provide incontinent care.
• Create a supportive, safe environment for residents.
• Document care using electronic medical records (PointClickCare).

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living to promote resident independence and dignity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Must have current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
• Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry
• Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
• Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• To ensure resident safety.
• Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, nail care of any residents assigned
• Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse
• Lift, move, and transfer residents as required
• Answer call lights in a timely manner
• Assist or feed residents
• Keep resident clean and dry, toileting or providing incontinent care
• Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents
• Other duties as assigned
• Utilize electronic medical records charting; point click care

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
