Job summary

South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL is hiring a CNA to assist licensed nursing staff with routine daily living activities and care for residents in memory care and assisted living settings.

You will perform ADLs, document care, and report observations while ensuring resident comfort and safety. The position offers part-time and PRN shifts with competitive hourly pay and benefits, including health and 401K, in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion from a state approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
• Registration with state registry required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Ability to document care given.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatment, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Answer signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds, and keeps rooms clean and orderly.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The CNA assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

Salary: $17.50 per hour

Shift Differential: $2/hr for Weekday Evenings and Nights, and $3.50/hr for all weekend shifts!
