Job summary

Beartooth Billings Clinic is seeking a CNA for acute care in Red Lodge, MT. This full-time, non-exempt role supports daily patient care under the supervision of licensed staff.

Responsibilities include transcribing orders, chart maintenance, and handling communications with patients and families. The position requires a Montana CNA license (or ability to obtain within 90 days) and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, preferred.
• Current Montana License as a Certified Nursing Assistant or ability to receive in 90 days.
• CPR certification or ability to receive in 90 days.
• Six months CNA experience in patient care preferred.
• Completion of Medical Terminology Course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes physician orders and maintains patient charts.
• Answers telephone/intercom calls and relays messages.
• Interacts with patients, families and staff to support unit activities.
• Assists in delivery of patient care under supervision of licensed nurses.

Status:Full Time – Non-Exempt

Reports to:Acute Care/ED Manager

Purpose and Scope of Position

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides clerical support for the assigned unit. In doing so, transcribes physician orders, assembles and maintains patient charts, answers telephone and intercom calls, provides routine approved information and relays other calls and messages. Appropriately interacts with patients/residents, family and staff. Supports unit activities that are essential to the smooth functioning of the patient care area. Under general supervision of the Licensed Nurse, assists in the delivery of patient care. Works collaboratively with the Physician, RN and the LPN to meet the physical, psychosocial, educational and spiritual needs of the patients and families.

Job Requirements

1.Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, preferred
• Current Montana License as a Certified Nursing Assistant, or ability to receive in 90 days
• Healthcare provider CPR Certification, or ability to receive in 90 days

2.Preferred Qualifications

• Six months CNA experience in performing patient care in a health care institution, preferred
• Completion of Medical Terminology Course, preferred
