Job summary

Mountain City Rehab Center in Frostburg, MD is seeking a compassionate CNA-1 to join our 89-bed skilled nursing team. You will work with nursing staff to support residents with daily activities and quality care.

Qualifications

• CNA-1 certification in Maryland is required.
• Previous experience in long-term or skilled nursing care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output and other health indicators.
• Report changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff.
• Support residents’ emotional and social well-being with kindness and respect.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized care.
• Support the facility's philosophy of care and goals.
• Be respectful to residents’ families and respond professionally as needed.
• Keep residents' spaces tidy and organized.
• Answer call lights promptly.

About the Role:

As a CNA-1, you’ll be on the front lines of quality elder care. You’ll work closely with our nursing staff to provide daily support and assistance to residents—helping with everything from personal hygiene and mobility to emotional support and companionship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding)
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and other health indicators
• Report changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff
• Support residents’ emotional and social well-being with kindness and respect
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver individualized care
• Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives.
• Be sensitive to residents' families and respond in an appropriate professional way as the situation requires.
• Keep residents' bed, dresser, bathroom, and general living area clean and tidy.
• Answer call lights promptly.

Qualifications:

• CNA-1 in Maryland
• Previous experience in long-term or skilled nursing care preferred
